Disease carrying mosquitoes are nasty, useless creatures. A child dies of malaria every 43 seconds. Although there are cures and nets, some of those cures have made the disease more resilient [according to the company Intellectual Ventures] - much in the way some way microbes have been made resilient by the overuse of antibiotics.
The components used to build this mosquito death ray device largely consist of parts cannibalized from such devices as laser printers, Blu-ray Disc writers, camcorders, and video game consoles and were purchased of eBay and similar sites.
Besides doing great job of illustrating the effectiveness of zapping and killing nasty disease carrying mosquitoes, the video is mesmerizing to watch..
